If an employee is absent from work due to sickness or incapacity, they must notify their line manager or department/school of the reason for their absence as soon as possible. Please also refer to the HR page on Sickness absence and the (Harmonised) Terms and conditions of employment for non-academic staff. The employee must also indicate on their timesheet when sick leave was taken.
